Challenge
The Oujé-Bougoumou Cree Nation community is located 2 hours north of Lac St Jean, QC, rendering the construction season extremely short. Additionally, labor shortage poses another challenge, and contributes to increasing costs. And finally, the availability of products in that region is somewhat limited. Even though, this is not the biggest challenge, it was a factor to consider.
Solution
Along with its partners, Petra has offered a prefab the Oujé-Bougoumou community a prefab solutions. The building will be built at Petra’s partner workshop, and will be delivered a modular building to the job site, where a crew of professionals will install it on the intended location.
Result
Saving on labor and material cost, and ability to progress in the construction regardless of the weather, since it was prefabricated indoors.
